Pearly

Jane’s Vanity fashion photos often include a bit of jewelry. Accessorizing lingerie and loungewear is a perfect indoor sport, for all of us. My favorite undercover look is the necklace that sits right at the collarbone. Flattering and sophisticated, yet offhand--as if one had just removed a blouse. And my favored material for this necklace is the Tahitian pearl. Preferably of the large variety. Colors from pale to charcoal, with iridescent overtones. A subtle accent to my lustrous JV wardrobe.

To pair with pearls, Coco de Mer provides a golden touch of luminescence with its sensuous black silk Danae Plunge Set and Babydoll. The gilded floral embroidery at cups and hem was inspired by the artwork of Gustav Klimt.

Gilda & Pearl boldly imagine the romantic Melitza Collection, made entirely of sheer gold and black lace. The Lace Gown, Long Robe, and Jacket are ready to bare, layer, and accessorize.

Looking to their namesakes, Gilda & Pearl have created the Gilded Macaron Lingerie Set and Slip in shimmery pink leavers lace. Love the slip’s back zipper that creates a sheer pink cage.

The subtlety of Merle Noir’s Ombre Teal Silk Chemise provides a graceful foil for one’s jewelry. The charmingly placed lace guides the eye from square neckline to hem. The deep blue color conjures gifts from the South Seas.

And back to blouses: try your pearls with sporty silk pajama tops. Violet and Wren’s Regency Stripe Silk Pajama is just the thing. Pop the collar and undo a mother of pearl button or two. Olivia Von Halle’s Coco Oyster Silk Pajamas call out for a strand of pearly pinks.

Take the plunge and wear your pearls with exotic treasures from Jane’s Vanity.
