Never Get Dressed?

The latest loungewear arrivals at JV have me wondering if I could wear nothing else. Just day after day of pretty pajamas, seductive gowns, incredible robes. But, winter approaches. So I’ll let my loungewear be the first layer, in a style I call “the pleasure of undress.”

Color is one of my autumn inspirations. So I would begin the pleasure with saturated hues of loungewear by Gilda & Pearl. What sweater set would not benefit from the slinky Matinee Silk Midi Dress in emerald green with gold lace at the hem? And which nubbly tweed jacket would not wish to adorn the Frankly My Dear Slip Dress in raspberry pink silk velvet? To prevent squabbling among my woolies, I might opt for the Frankly My Dear Midi Robe, which can stand (proudly) alone as outerwear!

Another expression of my fall style will be “Pajama Dressing.” Because the new Jane’s Vanity assortment of PJs is just too fabulous to leave at home. To be “street-worthy,” I would start with my new Seraphina Lingerie Set from Seelanii. Next, I’d button a few buttons of the Nights in Paris Silk Pajama from Gilda & Pearl. Then, with chunky-high heeled boots, I’d be ready for anything (“anything” being a camel-hair coat thrown over my shoulders).

For color AND pajamas? It would have to be the Frankly My Dear Pajamas from G & P in sultriest raspberry pink silk velvet.

“The Pleasure of Undress” is easily defined by the versatile Voyage Smoking Jacket from Gilda & Pearl. Its jazzy pink foulard print, on black, would suit the Nights in Paris Pajama. Or a pair of jeans. The just-right hip length of the jacket gives it gravitas, while its fabric of silk crepe de chine gives a caress. Feel the swagger of its shawl collar, cuffs, and patch pockets, all piped in manly black velvet.

Yes, I’m never getting dressed. Underneath it all, I’ll live in love with loungewear from Jane’s Vanity.
