Green Dance

Jane’s Vanity’s little studio is populated with gowns and dresses in shades of green. The scene recalls a ballet: the dancers lined up like blades of grass, in fabulous long green looks that beckon spring. Let’s pirouette into the new season.
Temperley London’s Thalia Silk Gown has a classic feel, with its covered-button front bodice and lacy detailing. Yet its neon lime color makes it decidedly au courant. Dancers especially will love the security of its spaghetti strapped criss-cross back. As well as the freedom of its long, lace-trimmed high back slit.

Next in line is Christine Vancouver’s Fabergé Moss Silk Gown, a chartreuse column that recalls the light of a mellow NW forest afternoon. Bias cut, the gown features gently gathered cups and a fluttering body down to the ankle. The perfect choice for dancing all night.

Gilda & Pearl give the “ensemble,” or line of dancers, a deep green accent with their Matinee Silk Slip Dress (and matching robe). The costume’s golden lace, at hem and robe cuffs, emulates the lavish Art Deco style of the Ballet Russe.

Zoelle’s Greenfinch Midi Dress is a perfect jeté into spring and summer fun. Made from two back to back complementary green poly prints, its slimmer front shape is contrasted by an open deep V at back. Altogether graceful, yet ready to surprise, you’ll want to take the packable Greenfinch along on the road.

Brava to JV’s exquisite collection of floaty green gowns and dresses. Choose your favorite, and join the dance.
